Councilor Anton Reyes, known for his proactive and people-first approach, recently conducted a community consultation in Barangay Old Balara, one of the largest and most diverse barangays in Quezon City District 3. This initiative forms part of his sustained commitment to responsive and inclusive public service, ensuring that governance is anchored on the real needs and voices of residents.
Community Voices at the Core of Local Governance
Held in collaboration with local barangay officials and community leaders, the consultation served as an open platform for dialogue between Councilor Reyes and the residents of Old Balara. The event prioritized listening to constituents’ everyday concerns, including issues on:
Access to healthcare services
Education support and scholarship opportunities
Livelihood and employment access
This grassroots-style engagement allowed residents to not only raise immediate concerns but also provide suggestions for long-term improvements in the barangay. Councilor Reyes, in turn, responded with updates on current programs and how these could be aligned or improved based on local feedback.

During the Old Balara dialogue, residents were also informed about how to access these services and how to participate in ongoing barangay-level rollouts.

The YES Free Dental Program is a core component of the YES sa Health at Tulong Pinansyal pillar under Councilor Reyes’ larger YESnaALL platform. This initiative champions the idea of “Sama-Samang Aasenso, Walang Kampo-Kampo”, where every resident—regardless of background or barangay—is given equal access to vital services.
